Hi, I’m James

I run WildPress from Battersea, London. I build and manage each project myself, and for larger projects I bring in a team of experienced freelancers to help with the more specialist work.

Most of my clients are small business owners who need their website to do real work: take enquiries, sell, publish, or connect to the systems behind the business. That shapes how I build. Less chasing design awards, more making sure the site is fast, secure, and still doing its job years after launch.

You deal with me from the first call through to launch, and most clients stay on afterwards. Some of the sites I look after today I built years ago.

You can use those platforms, and for a simple site they're fine, but we build on open platforms like WordPress and Astro so you own your site and aren't locked into one company. Do you offer pay-monthly websites?

Yes, as an option for local businesses. It suits smaller marketing sites best. James builds the site, then the cost is spread over a minimum term alongside a care plan for updates and support, rather than paid as one upfront bill. It isn't a fixed package, so tell us what you need and we'll tailor it to your project.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the size of the site and what it needs to do. A focused brochure site costs less than a custom ecommerce build with integrations. We give a clear fixed-price proposal after the first conversation, and for smaller sites we can sometimes spread the cost with a pay-monthly option.

How long does a new website take?

A typical small business website takes around three to six weeks from the start of the project, depending on scope and how quickly content and feedback come through. We agree the timeline up front and keep you updated at each stage.

Can you redesign or take over my existing website?

Yes. We often redesign tired sites or take over websites that another developer built or left behind. We start with a review of the current setup, then plan a safe path to improve or rebuild it without losing your content, enquiries, or search rankings.
