About Me

James Whayman

Hello there, I’m James Whayman, a freelance WordPress developer based right here in London. I’ve spent over a decade working in this field, serving a diverse range of clients - from solopreneurs and startups to fast-growing businesses and creative agencies. It’s an exciting journey!

While I started off in IT security, I discovered my true calling was something that allowed for more self-expression, freedom, and creativity. That’s how I found myself helping other small businesses with their websites. I haven’t looked back since.

Keeping up with the latest trends, continuously learning new tools, and refining methodologies is not just part of my job - it’s my passion! I constantly stay on top of the game to improve my craft, ensuring I deliver the best for every project. And yes, my knack for research does come in handy more often than not.

When I’m not developing WordPress sites, I enjoy exploring London, playing different sports - tennis, weightlifting, and yoga - and spending quality time with my cat Simba.

Thanks for reading about me, I look forward to connecting with you!

About WildPress

WildPress Logo

WildPress, initially Binary Foundries, was established in February 2013. The original name was a blend of traditional metalwork fabrication foundries and the digital world, but it was later changed to WildPress for its succinct, vibrant, and meaningful representation.

The name not only communicates the company’s focus on WordPress but also my affinity for nature and rainforests in particular. It’s with these inspirations that WildPress aims to create efficient, aesthetically pleasing, and high-performing websites. Minimizing environmental impact is one of several goals alongside this.

Though I’m is the sole director and employee at WildPress, I partner with a network of trusted professionals in design, SEO, and marketing for larger projects. This setup maintains the company as a lifestyle business, balancing my professional pursuits with personal interests.

With reliable UK-based hosting provided by The Positive Internet Company, I intend to continue growing WildPress in the coming decade, further enhancing its offerings while keeping in line with its core values.
